Our Counsellor-in-Training (CIT) Program is designed for campers aged 16–18 who are eager to take on new challenges, grow as leaders, and build valuable life skills. The program welcomes individuals with chronic illnesses, cognitive or physical disabilities, and mixed diagnoses, as well as those who are interested in working with individuals with diverse abilities.

This program helps participants develop strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, all essential for becoming an effective camp counsellor, whether at Zajac Ranch or beyond. Throughout the session, CITs will have the opportunity to assist with camp programs and activities, gaining hands-on experience working directly with campers. In addition, participants will focus on identifying their unique strengths, setting personal goals, and reflecting their growth as emerging leaders. The CIT Program provides a supportive and inclusive environment where young people can learn, lead, and make a lasting impact on themselves and others.
