Camp Schedule
All children deserve the opportunity to participate in a camp experience that is both supportive and accepting. For many children with disabilities, the care they require is often too great to allow them to attend a traditional camp. Facilities at Zajac Ranch are fully accessible by children of all abilities. The benefits of a summer camp experience should not be denied to any child because of their medical requirements or their family’s financial status. For over 20 years, Zajac Ranch has remained wholeheartedly committed to our promise of making a positive impact on children and young adults.
Our goal is to ensure that all children with special medical needs in British Columbia and across Canada can participate in a camp experience. Mindful that many families with children or young adults with medical conditions are burdened by significant expenses for specialized care, treatment, and education for their child, we established the Zajac Camper Allowance to help families in need of support. This Allowance offsets the cost of registration and is made available to all campers. Our long-term goal is to someday be able to offer a camp experience to any child, regardless of medical condition or financial situation, free of charge. Below is the summer 2026 season schedule to provide you details on each of our camp offerings. The 2026 dates may be subject change but will provide a good overview of the sessions available.

Counsellor-in-Training (CIT) Program

The program welcomes individuals with chronic illnesses, cognitive or physical disabilities, and mixed diagnoses, as well as those who are interested in working with individuals with diverse abilities.
This program helps participants develop strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, all essential for becoming an effective camp counsellor, whether at Zajac Ranch or beyond. Throughout the session, CITs will have the opportunity to assist with camp programs and activities, gaining hands-on experience working directly with campers. In addition, participants will focus on identifying their unique strengths, setting personal goals, and reflecting their growth as emerging leaders. The CIT Program provides a supportive and inclusive environment where young people can learn, lead, and make a lasting impact on themselves and others.
