Meet Amar Doman
Founder, President & CEO of The Futura Corporation, Amar has built one of B.C.’s largest privately held companies, with over 3,500 employees and revenues exceeding $3 billion. From purchasing his first lumber remanufacturing plant at just 18 to leading Doman Building Materials Group and Tree Island Steel, Amar’s journey is a true West Coast success story rooted in grit, vision, and relentless drive.
He is also the proud owner of the BC Lions, a passionate supporter of the CFL, and a dedicated philanthropist, mentor, and community leader. Amar’s contributions have earned him national recognition, including Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year (West), and board roles with organizations such as the UBC & VGH Foundation and the Horatio Alger Association of Canada.

Chris Gailus is an Emmy Award-winning journalist and the Co-Anchor of Global News Hour at 6 with Sophie Lui.
A 2023 Canadian Screen Award winner, along with his colleagues, for Best Local Newscast for Global BC News Hour at 6, Chris received a CSA (Canadian Screen Award) for Best Local News Anchor in 2015.
In his over 30-year broadcast career, he has worked in both Canada and the U.S, where he received a 2005 Regional Emmy Award in for Best Morning Newscast as host and anchor of Good Day New York at WNYW, the Fox news affiliate in New York.

Howard Blank is a respected leader in entertainment, media, and philanthropy. As CEO of Point-Blank Entertainment Ltd., he has helped raise over $1 billion for charities across North America. Howard serves on several public boards in BC and is an ambassador for ZLC Financial, Innovative Fitness, White Spot Restaurants, Fairmont Resorts, and the Cerebral Palsy Association of BC.
He is a recipient of multiple honors including the Queen’s Jubilee Medal, the BC Community Achievement Medal, the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteerism, and the King’s Coronation Medal. Howard was also named to Business in Vancouver’s BIV 500 list of top BC executives.
